Vaccinate or Regular Testing (VoRT) Regime for the Construction Sector

On 13 August 2021, the Ministry of Health announced the expansion of the “Vaccinate or Regular Test” (VoRT) regime for selected high-risk sectors, including the construction sector.  In line with this, the construction sector will implement the VoRT regime from 1 October 2021.

VoRT for Construction Sector with effect from 1st October 2021

From 1 October 2021, all unvaccinated persons under the categories listed in Table A must be tested twice a week using ART. Personnel already on mandatory RRT are to continue to adhere to all testing requirements under the mandatory RRT regime. The VoRT requirements below supersedes the VoRT testing requirements outlined in the circular issued earlier on 26 August 2021.

Table A: VoRT for Construction Sector

Regime VoRT for Construction sector (Revised) 

  • Employee of any construction firms (SSIC 41-43[1]) or,
  • Employee of any firms under RW02 and RW03[2] or,
  • All work pass holders (including Employment Pass / S Pass / Work Permit Holders) whose work passes state that they are hired under the Construction sector
(excludes employees already on RRT regime or corporate office/ HQ based functions)
