The $100 million Green Mark Incentive Scheme for Existing Buildings (GMIS-EB) scheme encourages existing building owners to adopt energy efficient retrofitting design, technologies and practices in their existing building to achieve a significant improvement in building energy efficiency.
Two incentives fall under this scheme:
Eligibility for GMIS-EB Health Check
In general, GMIS-EB Health Check is applicable to existing buildings owners if their building meets the following criteria:
- Be an existing private commercial (non-residential) developments.
- Have a minimum gross floor area of 2,000 sqm.
- Have central chilled water air-conditioning plants or which will be upgraded to have central chilled water air-conditioning plants.
- Have attained a BCA Green Mark rating, which is still valid during application. (You may also apply for BCA Green Mark certification and GMIS-EB simultaneously.)
