Next Generation of CORENET

The next generation of CORENET aims to be a “One-stop Integrated Digital Shopfront”, transforming the current regulatory submission and approval process for the built environment.

Led by MND, this inter-agency effort is currently in early development, involving BCA, URA, NParks, LTA, NEA, PUB, SCDF, SLA, HDB, JTC, and GovTech. It complements the ongoing efforts on Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD), which is a key component of the Construction Industry Transformation Map (ITM).

Key Transformational Shifts from current CORENET

Next generation of CORENET

Individual consultants submit plans to various regulatory agencies separately. This may result in uncoordinated design discrepancies.

Agencies receive submissions at different points in the project and assess them independently, with different approval process and response times. This may result in conflicting comemnts that project parties would have to reconcile.

All consultants collaborate upfront to de-conflict their designs, and submit one coordinated openBIM model to agencies.

All agencies collectively review the submission at the same time, and provide one consolidated response to the consultants

E-submission platform allowing uploading/downloading of submission documents, tracking of submission status, and communication of submission status

In addition to current CORENET E-submission platform functions, Consultants will also be able to use an Automated Model Checker to review your open BIM model before submission.

Agencies will also use a Collaboration Platform to collectively review each project’s coordinated BIM model at the same time.
