International Built Environment Week (IBEW)
The International Built Environment Week (IBEW) is organised by BCA International, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Building and Construction Authority, in partnership with RX Singapore. Widely regarded as Asia Pacific’s most comprehensive event on the built environment, IBEW is the ideal platform for the global built environment community to come together and share knowledge, discover innovative technologies, exchange valuable experiences and explore business opportunities.
IBEW 2022 returned as a physical event with digital offerings from 5 to 9 September 2022, at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre. Attended by about 9,500 delegates, the theme “Accelerating Transformation, Growing Together" built on the industry’s momentum as it emerged from the pandemic with a transformed outlook. Moving the industry forward and beyond a recovery mindset, IBEW 2022 successfully emphasised the need to embrace opportunities to transform collectively, and demonstrate a sense of urgency to build on valuable lessons learnt in past years.
IBEW will continue to contribute to the built environment community by:
- Generating a shift in the industry’s paradigm, to see transforming as a collective effort and move towards adopting collaborative practices;
- Creating a built environment marketplace for business opportunities, knowledge exchange and networking; and
- Inspiring young talents to join the built environment sector, with various platforms for talent attraction and engagement.
