IMPLEMENTATION OF MAXIMUM MAINTENANCE CHARGES REQUIREMENTS UNDER SECTION 18 OF THE BUILDING (STRATA MANAGEMENT) ACT 2004 AND REGULATION 4 OF THE BUILDING MAINTENANCE (STRATA MANAGEMENT) REGULATIONS 2005
This circular informs developers and industry stakeholders of the new maximum maintenance charge (MCH) framework under the Building (Strata Management) Act 2004. From 1 June 2027, developers of developments whose applications for planning permission are made on or after that date will be required to obtain COB approval for maximum MCH rates before commencing unit sales and disclosing the approved rates to prospective purchasers.
