The most prestigious BCA Award, the Company of the Year Award recognises Built Environment (BE) firms’ achievement beyond project-level initiatives. The award recognises firms that have successfully implemented outstanding business and workforce transformation initiatives throughout their operations. In tandem with the BuildSG movement, the award showcases firms that are leading the way in transforming Singapore’s BE sector.

Award categories 

The Company of the Year Award extends across two categories:

Award categories for developers, contractors, solution providers, and consultants, with distinctions based on firm size and global revenue.

Award eligibility criteria

All award applicants must be part of the Built Environment sector. Applicants will also be evaluated based on the criteria below:

Evaluation criteria (100 points total)

  1. Business Transformation (50 points) Applicants should demonstrate the firm’s effort and achievements in successfully transforming their services, operations, functions, and procurement processes and policies. 

    1. To highlight significant enhancements in organisational capabilities such as improved operational efficiency and new expertise/services. Firm’s efforts in harnessing digitalisation, innovation, technology, and data should also be demonstrated. 

    2. To clearly articulate clearly the outcomes that the firm has achieved through their business transformation, e.g. impacts on the firm and their stakeholders, as well as how these outcomes will be sustained in the long run.

  2. Workforce Transformation (50 points) Applicants should demonstrate how initiatives adopted by the enterprise have successfully improved its HR practices and workforce. Applicants are strongly encouraged to quantify their efforts and the respective outcomes. Initiatives can include, but are not limited to the following:

    1. Initiatives designed to more effectively attract fresh graduates to the industry.

    2. Initiatives that help develop career and salary progression for employees.

    3. Initiatives that improve job satisfaction or create a positive working environment.

    4. Initiatives that attract, develop, and/or retain local talent and skilled workers.

  • Applicants can also support their applications with any HR awards received in the last three years.

How to apply for the Company of the Year Award

Applications for Company of the Year Award 2025 should be submitted via the 2025 nomination form. Nomination forms should be submitted by 23:59, 30 April 2025. Award winners will be announced in September 2025 during the IBEW.
