Project of the Year Award
The Project of the Year Award honours projects that demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing Singapore’s BE industry. Projects with impactful results across categories spanning residential to mixed-development buildings are eligible for this award. Apply for the award now and put your project on the map.

The Project of the Year Award honours projects that demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing Built Environment (BE) industry practices, ranging from sustainability, productivity, digitalisation, collaboration, and workforce management. In tandem with the goals of BuildSG, the award encourages firms to collaborate, raise project delivery capability, and achieve high-impact outcomes, enabling the advancement of Singapore’s BE sector.
The Project of the Year Award extends across six categories:
Residential Buildings
Commercial
Mixed Development Buildings
Industrial Buildings
Institutional Buildings
Civil/Infrastructure Projects
Eligibility criteria for Project of the Year Award
Projects in any of the six categories may apply for the Project of the Year Award if they meet the following criteria:
Projects must have obtained a Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) between January 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025. For phased TOPs or completions, the final TOP or completion date must fall within this period.
Residential projects must have undergone the full CONQUAS assessment and have attained a minimum score of 95.0.
Projects must achieve a minimum Green Mark rating of Platinum (however, this rating requirement will not apply for civil/infrastructure projects).
Nominated projects with safety-related fatalities will not be eligible.
Nominated projects previously judged will not be eligible.
Each project nomination requires endorsement by the top or senior management from the developer/client, builder/main contractor, architect, civil & structural consultant, mechanical & electrical consultant, quantity surveying consultant, and other key specialists.
Nominated civil/infrastructure projects will have to be endorsed by a Government Procurement Entity (GPE).
Evaluation criteria for the Award
The assessment committee will evaluate applications based on the following guidelines:
Evaluation criteria (100 points total)
Sustainability (20 points)
Green Mark or green features for civil/infrastructure projects
Best practices for facilities management
Advanced Manufacturing and Assembly (20 Points)
Adoption of DfMA (design for manufacturing and assembly), lean construction principles, and/or robotics and automation
Effective implementation of DfMA, lean construction principles, and/or robotics and automation
Positive outcome/s achieved
Integrated Digital Delivery (20 points)
Adoption of IDD to enable data-driven decision-making and value chain/process improvement
Effective implementation of digital solutions
Positive outcome/s achieved
Manpower Transformation (20 points) To demonstrate how the enterprise has successfully improved its workforce and HR practices.
Implemented enhanced measures to recruit and/or train highly skilled workers that result in project productivity improvement.
Implemented systems or technologies to manage workers and the site more effectively, improving productivity and site safety.
Provided training and capability development in transformation areas for project partners across the project’s value chain.
Implemented mindful business practices for all project personnels.
Value Chain Transformation/ Collaboration (20 points)
Initiatives that initiate change and achieve better outcomes e.g. CC, ECI, alliance, and CX.
Initiatives that the main contractor spearheaded with its subcontractors/specialists to initiate change and achieve better outcomes e.g. LEAN.
How to apply for the Project of the Year Award
Nominations for Project of the Year Award 2025 should be submitted via the 2025 nomination form. Nomination forms should be submitted by 23:59, 30 April 2025.
