Supporting construction workforce development across Singapore
There are 24 BCA Approved Training and Testing Centres (ATTCs) strategically located across Singapore to support the Built Environment (BE) sector's workforce development needs. These centres provide comprehensive training and skills assessment services that let construction workers to upgrade their capabilities and advance their careers through various established pathways.
BCA does not certify or accredit any other training centres other than the official list of ATTCs published. The list of ATTCs is updated periodically to ensure accuracy and relevance.

ATTCs offer a comprehensive range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of the construction workforce.
Training and skills assessments
CoreTrade Scheme The Construction Registration of Tradesmen (CoreTrade) Scheme helps build a core group of competent and experienced workers in key construction trades and supervisory roles. These workers anchor and lead the construction workforce in raising quality and productivity levels.
Multi-Skilling Scheme The Multi-Skilling Scheme builds a pool of experienced workers competent to carry out multiple work tasks on-site. This gives employers flexibility to deploy multi-skilled workers, improving productivity.
Direct R1 Pathway The Direct R1 Pathway allows workers with higher skills who may not have acquired the necessary years of local construction experience to upgrade to "Higher Skilled" R1 construction workers.
Skills Evaluation Certificate (Knowledge) (SEC(K)) This scheme aims to raise skills, productivity and safety in the construction sector by ensuring workers possess essential trade knowledge and practical competency.
Certificate of Successful Completion (CSC) A CSC is recognised by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for crane operation licensing purposes. CSCs are available for Tower Crane (Saddle Jib) Operation, Mobile Crane Operation, Crawler Crane Operation, and Mini Crane Operation.
Accelerated Learning Programme (ALP) and enhanced Direct R1 Upgrading Pathway
The ALP is an additional pathway for Malaysian and North Asian Source (NAS) Construction Work Permit Holders introduced in February 2022. It consists of a 1-day training course and practical validation to assess workers' craft-skills competency.
Under the Enhanced Direct R1 Upgrading Pathway, workers from Malaysian and NAS sources can be upgraded to R1 after passing the ALP end-of-course validation if they earn a minimum fixed salary of $1,600/month.

Continuing Education and Training (CET) requirements
Personnel registered under the following schemes are required to attend the Continuing Education and Training (CET) in their respective trade category once every 2 years to renew their registration/eligibility status:

CoreTrade Registration
The CET is a half-day course covering the latest codes and regulations, good practices, and demonstration of new methods, materials, tools and equipment relevant to specific construction trades and areas of responsibility.
CET courses are available at BCA Academy and appointed BCA Approved Training and Testing Centres (ATTCs).

Request for statement of Trade Test certificates
There is no replacement of certificates. E-statements will only be issued to verified candidates who have passed tests conducted by BCA. The statement is only for trade test certificates issued by BCA.
