Exploring Nuclear Energy for an Evolving Built Environment – Strategies, Constraints, Capability Building
24 July 2026
Date/Day: 24 July 2026, Friday Time: 2.00pm – 4.30pm Venue: BCA Braddell Campus

Nuclear power has significant potential to decarbonise the Built Environment (BE), offering both electricity generation and thermal applications for buildings, infrastructure, and industrial assets. This SGBC Seminar, supported by HY M&E Engineering Consultancy, explores the evolving role of nuclear energy in advancing a low-carbon future. The session covers nuclear technology developments, national deployment pathways, and practical considerations for built environment stakeholders, including on-premise nuclear power integration. Participants will also gain insights into the milestones required to realise behind-the-meter nuclear solutions for energy-intensive facilities such as data centres.
