Legal Requisition for property information

You may obtain certain information (see below for details) in respect of a specific property in Singapore (“Property”) by applying to BCA for a legal requisition.
How to apply for Legal Requisition
Option 1: Through the Integrated Legal Requisition System (InteReq)
If you or the law firm representing you is subscribed to the Integrated Legal Requisition System (InteReq), you can apply through the platform.
Option 2: Through the Court or service centre
If neither you nor your law firm is subscribed to InteReq, you can submit your application at the following locations:

Information needed for InteReq application
When submitting your application through InteReq, please ensure you have the following details:
Property type and description
Complete address of the Property, or
Specific land lot number, if the complete address is not available
Application fee
The fee is $37 (inclusive of GST) per application for one Property (i.e. one address).
If the complete address is not available, the fee is $37 (inclusive of GST) per application for one specific land lot number.
Note: The application fee is non-refundable once the application has been submitted.
Information provided in the Legal Requisition Reply
Subject to the information being available to BCA and the Explanatory Notes for Legal Requisition Reply, you will receive the following information in respect of the Property:
Status of the latest CSC/TOP/ Building Plan Approval for the Property, including the main building and additions/alterations that are part of the Property.
Whether an Order that is still in force has been served in respect of the Property under Section 19 of the Building Control Act.
Whether there are any expenses owed to the Commissioner of Building Control in respect of the Property under Section 19 of the Building Control Act.
Whether an Order that is still in force has been served in respect of the Property under Section 24, Section 24A or Section 25 of the Building Control Act.
Whether there are any expenses owed to the Commissioner of Building Control in respect of the Property under Section 24, Section 24A or Section or 25 of the Building Control Act.
Whether a Notice that is still in force has been served in respect of the Property under Section 6 of the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act.
Whether a Direction that is still in force has been served in respect of the Property under Section 7 of the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act.
