SGBC-BCA Leadership in Sustainability Awards (LSA)
From year 2017, BCA partnered with the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) to drive environmental sustainability in the built environment through the SGBC-BCA Leadership in Sustainability Awards (LSA).
The biannual LSA is to recognise Professionals, Organisations and Building Projects for their contributions and significant achievements in the development of a green and sustainable built environment. Stakeholders are encouraged to apply for the LSA to showcase their exemplary performance in sustainability.

BCA Green Mark Awards (2005 – 2021)
These awards were the cornerstone of Singapore's green building recognition for over a decade. They honoured building projects and developers that consistently met and exceeded high environmental sustainability standards through the rigorous BCA Green Mark Certification Scheme.

The BCA Green Mark Champion Awards recognised developers with a strong track record of Green Mark certified buildings. These organisations showed a deep, ongoing commitment to sustainability across their entire portfolio, not just in single projects.

BCA Green Mark Champion Awards Criteria
Developers were assessed based on:
The total Gross Floor Area (GFA) of their Green Mark certified projects
The proportion of their portfolio that achieved Green Mark certification
The average Green Mark rating achieved across their projects
Their commitment to adopting innovative green building technologies and practices
Criteria
Minimum number of buildings required for BCA Green Mark Champion, Platinum Champion, and PlatinumSTAR Champion recognition across different Green Mark rating tiers.

BCA Green Mark Pearl Award
(Launched in year 2014, subsume under LSA since year 2022)
The BCA Green Mark Pearl Award was a unique recognition for building owners and tenants. Those who collaboratively worked to achieve high levels of green performance within a building. This award highlighted the importance of partnership and shared responsibility in driving sustainable outcomes. Particularly in existing buildings where tenant engagement is crucial.
There were two tiers of the Award, Green Mark Pearl Award and Green Mark Pearl Prestige Award. These awards will be given out for the following three building types:
Commercial offices
Retail malls
Business park developments
For mixed developments, applicants can choose to split up the application for the award based on each component as long as they meet the eligibility criteria. The award category of the projects shall be based on the predominant use of the building.

Green Mark Pearl Awards Criteria
Base building must achieve a Green Mark GoldPLUS or Platinum rating that is valid at point of application.
Minimum gross floor area (GFA) of the building/project must be 5,000m2
A minimum percentage of tenanted spaces based on nett lettable area (NLA) must be certified under any of the following Green Mark occupant-centric schemes:
GM for Healthier Workplaces
GM for Office Interior
GM for Supermarkets
GM for Retail
GM for Restaurants
GM for Data Centres
GM for Laboratories
SGBC-BCA Green Building Individual Awards
(2011 – 2015; subsume under LSA since year 2017)
The award recognised individual for their continual and outstanding contributions towards the sustainability of Singapore’s built environment.
