Building on the success of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) adoption, Advanced Manufacturing and Assembly (AMA) has been identified as a key transformation area under the Built Environment Industry Transformation Map (BE ITM) to encourage the adoption of R&A to boost construction productivity, reduce labour reliance, and provide better work environments and jobs.

By shifting from a project-based to a modular, product-based building approach, AMA drives the efficiency of supply chains and construction processes in offsite automated factory environments and on-site construction with R&A, while reducing waste and reworks.
