NEW FACILITIES MANAGEMENT AND SUPPLIERS REGISTRIES
This circular informs all firms registered in BCA’s Contractors Registration System (CRS) that with effect from 1 Jan 2024, the Facilities Management (FM) and Supply (SY) workheads under the CRS will be migrated to the new Facilities Management Registry and Suppliers Registry.
2 Currently, there are seven categories of workheads under the CRS. Registration under the relevant workheads is required for firms that intend to participate in public sector construction, construction-related, and other services (e.g. FM and SY) tenders.
Creation of new Facilities Management Registry and Suppliers Registry
3 As the services provided by FM and SY firms are distinct from those provided by construction firms, BCA will migrate the FM and SY workheads currently under the CRS to two new registries – the Facilities Management Registry and Suppliers Registry respectively from 1 Jan 2024.
4 There will be no change to firms’ current financial grade and registration expiry date after the migration. Any CRS applications (including renewal applications) for FM and SY workheads submitted after 1 Jan 2024 will be deemed an application for the FM and SY workheads under the new Registries.
5 There will also be no change to public sector tender specifications after the migration. Government agencies will continue to specify the relevant FM and SY workheads, where appropriate.
