iBuildSG Scholarship and Sponsorship Programmes

For existing Students under the iBuildSG Scholarship and Sponsorship programme (awarded in year 2022 & earlier)

Note: All programmes under the iBuildSG Scholarship and Sponsorship have ceased since 2022 with no further cycles. For BE industry undergraduate scholarship, BCA has transited to the MOE Singapore Industry Scholarship (MOE SgIS).

Training Grants/ Retention Incentives Claims

Upon securing your employment, please provide us with your entire signed employment contract for our records.

 

For Bond Commencement

To avoid delaying the commencement of your bond, please ensure that your job search fulfils the 2 criteria stated below. Failure to fulfil both criteria will not be accepted by BCA.

Criteria to fulfil as serving of bond:

1. Employment must be in a *Built Environment (BE) related role; and

2. With an approved BE firm. The Approved Firm is defined as:

Please note the following:

  • Statutory boards or government ministries such as LTA, URA, HDB, NEA, JTC, MOM etc. is not an Approved Firm
  • Please show us proof of the link where the firm is listed as an approved firm (from the links in the attached file). It is compulsory for you to confirm with us that the employment offer meet the 2 criteria stated above before accepting the offer.
  • *Subject to BCA's approval. In the event if there is conflict between BCA's definition and the list of approved firm, BCA's decision will take precedence.

For Training Grants/ Retention Incentives Claims

Valid for 2018 - 2020 awardees and applicable to Singapore Residents only (SC & PR). 
Subject to terms & conditions. Please clarify with BCA on your eligibility.

1. Training Grant for CET Courses – up to $3000

This is valid for claim upon your bond completion, when you remain in a BE job role and/or in the BE sector (as per BCA's definition and verification), and you are enrolled in the List of Approved Courses^ (for Stage 2 training grant claims) within 3 years from the date of bond completion or till all the funds in the training grant have been utilised or till the CITM fund for this programme have ceased, whichever earlier.

The claim amount has to be your own out-of-pocket expenses ie. after government subsidy, after company sponsorship (if any).

2. Retention Incentives of $7000

This is valid for claim, when you complete serving an additional 1 year of employment (after your bond completion) in a BE job role and/or BE sector (as per BCA's definition and verification), or till the CITM fund for this programme have ceased, whichever earlier.

You will be required to submit proof of bond completion and employment in a BE job role and/or in the BE sector.
