Demolition Protocol

The Demolition Protocol (DP) is a set of procedures to help contractors better plan demolition procedures so as to maximise the recovery of waste materials for beneficial reuse or recycling. The DP has already been incorporated into SS 557 Code of Practice for Demolition.

What the protocol includes

  • Pre-demolition audit
  • Sequential demolition
  • Site waste management

Before conducting demolition works, ensure that you do the following:

  1. Download and familiarise yourself with the Demolition Protocol
  2. Submit the completed site waste management plan and pre-demolition audit form to BCA for Green Mark assessment
