To raise construction productivity and fundamentally change construction processes, BCA encourages the industry to embrace the concept of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) where construction is designed such that most of the construction work is done off-site in a controlled factory environment.
Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) is one of the game changing technologies that support the DfMA concept. The lists of architectural and C&S engineering firms and main contractors with completed or on-going PPVC projects in Singapore are shown below.
